The Immersive Suite, developed in partnership with Norwegian company Cyviz, enables real-time co-creation between clients, data experts, and technology teams, according to Microsoft Netherlands Chief Technology Officer Joris Haverkort.

The Immersive Suite leverages familiar tools like PowerPoint to create interactive environments where participants can explore data, test scenarios, and align perspectives. “We deliberately use tools like PowerPoint to focus on storytelling and interaction rather than explaining technology,” Haverkort said. This approach allows teams to bypass technical jargon and concentrate on solving problems collaboratively.

Cyviz’s standardized platform underpins the suite, ensuring seamless deployment across locations. The system avoids specialized software, instead relying on applications users already know, as noted by John van Laerhoven, Regional Sales Director at Cyviz. “Microsoft’s approach shows that immersive environments don’t need to be complex to be powerful,” he stated.

The Immersive Suite is being used across sectors including energy, manufacturing, finance, and the public sector. Microsoft’s initiative in the Netherlands aims to demonstrate how technology can address real-world business challenges, according to the company. Over 200 client engagements are hosted annually at the Amsterdam hub, according to Cyviz’s documentation.
