2026 Winter Olympics Opening ceremony Highlights
The opening ceremony for the Milano cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games took place on February 6, 2026, in Milan, Italy. The ceremony celebrated both the athletes and the rich history of the Olympic Winter Games.

The ceremony included a tribute to past Olympic winter Games, showcasing posters and innovations in Olympic sports throughout history.

The Games were officially declared open by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella. Following the declaration, renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli performed “Nessun Dorma” as the Olympic torch entered San Siro Stadium, preceding the later flame lighting ceremony. The Olympic flag was then brought in,and the Olympic anthem was sung,marking a formal start to the Games.
