Clippers on Stage and a Flight to Los Angeles
Miley Cyrus pulled out hair clippers mid-concert and sheared a supporter’s head on stage, later flying the young fan to Los Angeles after the two connected through social media posts. The encounter combined a private backstage meeting, concert tickets, and full travel accommodations.
From a Social Media Video to the Hollywood Bowl
Identified in social media posts as Džeikobsa, the fan had posted a video expressing appreciation for Cyrus’s song “Flowers” and asked the singer directly if she would commit to shaving her head. “Are we really going to do this?”
Cyrus told the supporter that it is normal to feel both tender and strong, noting that conflicting emotions like fear and excitement often arrive together. With that, Cyrus picked up the clippers, told the fan “Let’s go, girl, let’s do this,” and shaved her head while the young woman watched in a mirror.
Cyrus Supports Fan After Public Haircut Incident
Following the public haircut, Cyrus arranged and paid for the fan’s flight back to Los Angeles and provided tickets for the second night of her concert at the Hollywood Bowl venue.
Cyrus also spent time with the supporter after the performance to help her process what she described as one of the most frightening and personal moments of her life. The young fan noted that Cyrus's music helps her cope with daily difficulties, and the personal attention provided an extra sense of strength.
