minnesota Flyers Send Record Number of Gymnasts to State Meet

DETROIT LAKES – Minnesota Flyers Gymnastics and Fitness is celebrating a significant achievement this season: 38 young gymnasts have qualified for the USA Gymnastics Minnesota State Meet, taking place December 12-14 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This is the highest number of qualifiers in the program’s history, demonstrating the dedication of its Level 3-5 athletes throughout the year.

Last year, 27 athletes qualified for state; this year, the team surpassed that number. Qualification required gymnasts to compete in four meets and achieve an all-around score of 32 or higher. Their success is attributed to a focus on fundamental skills, teamwork, and determination.

“Our compulsory kids are the heart of our program,” said a representative from the coaching staff. “They work incredibly hard and are not only great athletes, but great kids. we’re so proud of them.”

As the state meet nears,the team is refining their routines and embracing the supportive and positive habitat that characterizes the Minnesota Flyers. These athletes are striving for personal bests while upholding a tradition of hard work, pride, and enjoyment in gymnastics.
