Inter Milan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be sidelined for the upcoming Serie A match against Fiorentina due to a strain in his left thigh, the club confirmed on Monday. The injury occurred during Inter’s 1-1 draw with Atalanta over the weekend.

Injury Details and Recovery Timeline

Medical tests conducted on Monday at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano revealed a strain to the biceps femoris muscle in Mkhitaryan’s left thigh, according to an official statement from Inter Milan. Yahoo Sports and Football Italia both reported on the injury.

This is the second injury Mkhitaryan has sustained this season, following a semitendinosus hamstring strain suffered in October during a match against Napoli.

The 37-year-old Armenian international is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks, but Inter are hopeful he will be fit to return for their match against former club AS Roma in early April, following the international break. Sources indicate a re-evaluation will take place in the coming days to assess his progress.
