Montana Man Dies in Rollover Crash Near Hebron, North Dakota

HEBRON, N.D. — A 73-year-old man from Baker, Montana, died Friday morning, March 20, 2026, in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 94 near the Hebron exit in central North Dakota.

According to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), the man was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on I-94 at approximately 9:37 a.m. Central Time when he lost control of the vehicle. The Trailblazer entered the south ditch, and the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll and come to rest in the eastbound lanes [KX News], [InForum].

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed he was not wearing a seatbelt [KX News]. According to Vision Zero North Dakota, 47% of motor vehicle fatalities in 2023 involved individuals not wearing seatbelts [KX News].
