More Eaze, the project of Mari Rubio, is set to release her new album, “Sentence Structure in the Country,” on March 20th, 2026, via Thrill Jockey. The album builds upon the success of her 2025 collaboration with claire rousay, “No Floor,” and is described as a definitive statement of Rubio’s skill, blending wit with incisive compositions.

Rubio’s perform draws heavily from her upbringing playing fiddle in traditional folk and country scenes, imbuing her arrangements with a reverence for the evolution of those forms. “Sentence Structure in the Country” features collaborations with Wendy Eisenberg, Henry Earnest, Alice Gerlach, Jade Guterman, and Ryan Sawyer. The album’s first single, “bad friend,” featuring Wendy Eisenberg, showcases unconventional arrangements and explores themes of social friction and alienation.
