Morning Light Foundation Awards Scholarships to Chinese Students

On June 29, the American M&G Foundation, a 20-year-old institution, held its 2025 Scholarship and Bursary Award Dinner at the Hilton Hotel in San Gabriel. This year,7 international students and 39 local students benefited, each receiving a $6,000 scholarship – the highest amount awarded in the foundation’s history.

This year’s scholarship recipients include students from china and local universities and graduate schools in the United States, studying in a variety of fields. Winners were selected through a process including written applications, review by a panel of judges, and online interviews.

Zhao Yi, a junior at California State University, Fullerton, majoring in business management, is one recipient. She’s also a mother who returned to school when her children started school. This is her fourth year receiving the M&G Foundation Scholarship. The financial aid has allowed her to reduce her work hours, focus on her studies, and participate in community and academic projects. Zhao Yi believes women can pursue their dreams even after marriage and motherhood, and plans to pursue an MBA after graduation. She hopes to help other women succeed and assist housewives in returning to school or the workforce.
