Morrissey claims that numerous major labels have deemed Bonfire of Teenagers a masterpiece but have declined to release it, citing concerns over his publicly expressed political views.
Morrissey’s recent career has been shadowed by political endorsements and tour instability. In 2019, he appeared on The Fallon Tonight Show wearing a pin associated with the far-right For Britain Movement, sparking widespread criticism. He has recently cancelled a string of shows on his ongoing North American tour, with dates initially scheduled for 2026 being removed from his tour schedule.
