The handlebar controls of the X-Cape are also well made, they have a backlit profile and I am sempacks to operate. On the left are the switches for navigating the display. Under the saddle there is only space for the electrical wiring cables

How is it going

The driving position is more enduro than crossover, but very comfortable: there is plenty of space and the torso sits very straight. There is no lack of space for the passenger, the saddle is well padded, but the handles are not very comfortable. Comfort is good: the suspensions copy the road quite well, there is ample space in the saddle and vibrations are low.

The X-Cape shows decent agility in the straits despite the weight: 227 kg measured without fuel. The motorcycle displays safe and predictable behavior in all conditions. The fork is smooth, the mono rigid. However, it is adjustable in hydraulics and preload.

The twin-cylinder offers the best at medium speeds: below 4,000 rpm the response is softafter which the pair enters. The Morini’s twin-cylinder is “rough” in its bass response, but is more prone to being overworked at highs. The heat transmitted is bearable.

The gearbox is not exactly “butter” and the clutch control requires some effort. On the other hand, the brakes are progressive in their response to the lever, offering the right bite.

On the motorway the X-Cape can tackle even medium-long range motorway journeys without problems. Stable at speed, transmits few vibrations e ofoffers a discreet aerodynamic shelter. Not good because, due to the enduro shapes, you are exposed to wind pressure. Even on this Morini the underseat compartment is practically non-existent, and the trio of aluminum suitcases is optional. As regards consumption, our measurements show mileages of around 20 km/h to 130 km/h. There is a lack of cruise control, which is now a must for this type of motorcycle.

The X-Cape is obviously less agile and lighter than a scooter, but It also handles well in traffic citizen. The On the pavé you can appreciate the smoothness of the fork, while at the rear the disconnections are noticeable. Good management dell’ABS.
