FIA Awards Celebrate 2025 Champions in Uzbekistan’s Historic First Host

Tashkent, Uzbekistan – December 12, 2025 – The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) concluded it’s 2025 motor sport season with a stunning awards ceremony held for the first time in uzbekistan’s capital city, Tashkent. The FIA Awards, hosted at the Humo Arena, honored champions and stars across the organization’s seven World Championship categories, drawing an eager crowd of 2,500 motor sport fans.

The prestigious event, attended by FIA President Mohammed ben Sulayem and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla aripov, officially recognized the winning drivers, co-drivers, and navigators following a fiercely competitive season. The ceremony was organized by the National Automobile and Karting Federation of Uzbekistan (NAFKU) and supported by key partners including Rolex, DHL, Hankook, and AlphaTauri.

“Hear in Tashkent, we have celebrated the members of our motorsport family whose commitment, spirit and dedication sit at the very heart of our sport,” stated FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. “we have also looked toward the champions of tomorrow, those at the start of their journeys, taking their first steps and achieving their first successes. My sincere congratulations to all our deserving winners, it is indeed an honour to celebrate with you.”

The evening, themed “Dreams of a Champion,” showcased the remarkable journeys of the 2025 champions, many of whom clinched their victories on the final day of their respective seasons. Beyond the core sporting accolades,the FIA Awards also presented the FIA Rookie of the Year and the action of the Year awards,resolute by fan votes across FIA social media channels.

Honoring Legacy and Innovation

The FIA President’s Innovation Award paid tribute to a true legend of the sport, Enzo Ferrari, recognizing his lasting impact on motor sport and society. Enzo’s son, Piero Ferrari, and Ferrari Vice Chairman, accepted the award, with Formula 1 star Charles Leclerc present to support the iconic marque.

A new addition to the awards program was the FIA WRC of the Year Award,acknowledging outstanding commitment to rally sport. This year’s award was presented to the Rally del Paraguay, lauded for its extraordinary organization and collaborative spirit in exceeding expectations during its inaugural event. Paraguay’s President santiago Peña accepted the award on stage.

2025 Championship Highlights

The 2025 FIA Awards celebrated a diverse range of champions across various disciplines:

* FIA formula One World Championship: Lando Norris (McLaren) realized his lifelong dream, securing his first World Championship title. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, finished third, while McLaren clinched the Constructor’s Championship.
