Mozarthaus Vienna to Host Special Tour Exploring 18th-Century Medical Practices
The Mozarthaus Vienna, the only surviving Viennese apartment of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will host a special tour on March 27, 2026, offering a unique glimpse into the medical practices and hygiene of 18th-century Vienna. The tour, titled “Between Sound and Illness: Medicine & Hygiene in Mozart’s Vienna,” explores the intersection of daily life, health, and mortality during the composer’s time in the city.

About Mozarthaus Vienna
The Mozarthaus Vienna serves as a central tribute to Mozart, preserving the composer’s only remaining Viennese apartment. From 1784 to 1787, Mozart resided in this building, where he composed some of his most celebrated works, including the opera “Le nozze di Figaro” and three of the “Haydn Quartets.” Mozarthaus Vienna opened as a museum in 2006 and is managed by Wien Holding.
