MWC 2026: Honor Unveils Robot Phone and Magic V6 Foldable
Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 officially commenced on Monday, March 2nd, with the opening of the Fira Gran Via exhibition center in Barcelona. However, several manufacturers, including Honor, chose to unveil their latest innovations over the weekend leading up to the official launch. Honor showcased its groundbreaking Robot Phone, featuring a robotic camera, alongside the highly anticipated Magic V6 foldable smartphone.
Honor’s Robot Phone: A New Perspective on Mobile Photography
Honor unveiled its Robot Phone, distinguished by a camera mounted on a robotic arm that extends from the device. Inspired by DJI’s Osmo line, the robotic camera can track moving subjects and even respond to AI assistant commands with nods for “yes” or “no” answers. Honor plans to initially release the Robot Phone in China during the second half of 2026.
Magic V6: A Slim and Durable Foldable
The Honor Magic V6 is a foldable smartphone designed with a focus on portability and durability. The device measures just 8.75mm thick when closed, slightly thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 (8.9mm). It features a 7.95-inch inner display with a resolution of 2,352×2,172 pixels and a 6.52-inch outer display with a resolution of 2,420×1,080 pixels, both supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz.
Honor has incorporated several technologies to enhance the viewing experience, including anti-glare coating, dynamic dimming, and motion sickness relief. The Magic V6 boasts a “super-strong” steel structure and a nano-crystal shield for display protection. To demonstrate its robustness, Honor showcased the phone being used as a link in a zipline.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to be a central theme, mirroring its prominence at CES 2026.
Lenovo also unveiled the Legion Go Fold, a concept foldable gaming handheld with a flexible display that expands to 11.6 inches or folds to 7.7 inches. The device features detachable controllers and multiple mounting options, including a kickstand and compatibility with a wireless keyboard.
