Nacon Revolution 5 Unlimited Adds Built-in Display for App-Free Customization
The Nacon Revolution 5 Unlimited controller features a built-in display screen that allows users to adjust stick sensitivity, button mapping, and audio mixes directly on the hardware without opening a companion application, hrej.cz reported. Nacon positions the device as the first officially licensed PlayStation 5 controller equipped with such an onboard screen, though deeper configurations remain accessible via phone apps.
Hardware Specifications and Magnetic Stick Sensors
The controller utilizes asymmetric analog sticks with the left thumbstick positioned above the direction pad. Nacon employs TMR magnetic sensors to track stick movement, which the manufacturer claims provide higher reliability and lower power consumption than traditional potentiometers. Players can swap out the analog stick caps and directional pad, while using included physical weights to adjust the overall heft and balance of the chassis.
Seven programmable buttons accompany mechanical microswitches on the primary inputs and triggers with adjustable travel distance. Users can keep a smooth pull for racing titles or switch to a short mechanical click for first-person shooters. A dedicated Shooter Pro mode removes analog stick dead zones entirely around the center axis for instant response times.
Pricing, Connectivity, and Release Date
Connectivity options include a wired USB cable, a 2.4GHz wireless adapter, and Bluetooth. Beyond PlayStation 5 and PC compatibility, Nacon lists support for Android smart televisions. The retail package bundles a charging station and a carrying case alongside the hardware.
Nacon quotes a one-millisecond response time specifically for standalone PC operation, though that figure does not automatically apply when connected to a PlayStation 5 console. The manufacturer sets the recommended European price at €199.99, which converts to approximately 4,900 Czech crowns. Pre-orders are currently active, with Nacon’s French storefront listing an availability date of October 21, 2026.
