Neptunes Face Mulhouse at Salle Mangin-Beaulieu
The Nantes women’s volleyball team opens its Ligue A Féminine season against reigning champion Mulhouse on October 3, 2025, at 8:00 PM at Salle Mangin-Beaulieu in Nantes, ouest-france.fr reported. Head coach Sylvain Quinquis leads the newly reinstated Neptunes into their 401st chapter in the top flight, sixteen years after the club’s promotion. Mulhouse arrives in Nantes following an unprecedented triple crown campaign last season and additions aimed at a Champions League run.
Defensive Strategy Against Mulhouse Attackers
Quinquis warned that his squad faces an immediate test against a formidable opponent boasting dangerous offensive weapons like Robinson and Gavamovich. The Nantes coach emphasized that his side cannot afford to leave loose balls or easy opportunities on the court, describing the matchup as a perilous opening assignment. During the 2024–2025 campaign, Nantes claimed a playoff semifinal victory against the Alsatian side before dropping the French Cup final, but Quinquis noted that the competitive landscape has shifted significantly since then.
Roster Details for the Season Opener
The Neptunes roster features Ansquer and Chameaux at setter, alongside attackers and blockers Samson, Robinson, Ambrosius, Goodman, Glynn, Glemboczki, Davaï, Nevot, Benoist, and Vidaller under Quinquis. Mulhouse travels with Groone, Bouzinac, Brown, Olinga-Andela, Ngolongolo, Weaver, Abda, Gamanovich, Chillingworth, Vasi, Runnels, Converty, Robinson, Le Galloudec, and Jaegy, directed by Portuguese coach André Sá.
Match Schedule and Next Fixtures
The opening whistle sounds at 20:00 local time on Saturday, October 3, 2025, inside Salle Mangin-Beaulieu. Following this fixture, the Neptunes continue their Ligue A Féminine campaign with subsequent league matches scheduled later in the autumn schedule.
