Naples Double Homicide Investigation Continues

Authorities in Naples, Florida, are continuing their investigation into the fatal shooting of two men that occurred on March 8, 2026. The victims have been identified as Raul Rojas, 28, and Juan Ruiz-Perez, 25, both residents of Naples.

Details of the Incident

Collier County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at approximately 9:45 p.m. On March 8, 2026, in the 11400 block of Whistler’s Cove Circle, regarding a person bleeding on the ground . Upon arrival, they discovered a pickup truck parked at an angle in a parking lot. Raul Rojas was found slumped over in the driver’s seat, while Juan Ruiz-Perez was located on the ground nearby.

Both men were transported for medical attention, but ultimately succumbed to their injuries. Ruiz-Perez was pronounced dead at the scene, while Rojas had a weak pulse and later died . Two spent shell casings were recovered from the scene .

Investigation and Findings

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the incident as a double homicide and is actively pursuing leads. As of March 17, 2026, no arrests have been made .

An investigation revealed that Juan Ruiz-Perez was found to be in possession of a white powdery substance and a pipe, which tested positive for cocaine .

A witness who contacted 911 reported seeing the pickup truck “parked like really slanted” upon returning home from work . The witness also mentioned a previous concerning situation in their apartment. They observed someone bleeding from the face outside the vehicle but did not know how long the victims had been shot .
