Houston basketball players won a thrilling NBA matchup against Orlando 117-113 after overtime. They secured their fourth consecutive win and currently hold 3rd place in the Western Conference, trailing league leader Oklahoma City by three games.

Atlanta extended their winning streak to five games with a 124-122 victory over Phoenix. This result propelled them to 4th place in the Eastern Conference standings, 2.5 games behind leader Detroit.

Orlando nearly clinched a victory in Houston. With the score tied at the end of regulation, Kevin Durant lost possession after a free throw attempt by Alperen Sengün, and Anthony Black converted a layup with 1.7 seconds remaining.

Though, on the ensuing inbounds play, the Rockets capitalized, and Sengün successfully scored a two-point basket with just two-hundredths of a second left, securing overtime for the home team.

In the winning effort,Durant led the way with 35 points,while Sengün contributed 30 points and 12 rebounds. despite a strong performance from all five Orlando starters, including Franz Wagner’s 29 points, it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

“We’re very happy that we were able to win, because if we lost after that loss at the end of the regular season, it would have frustrated us. The chemistry between me and Kevin Durant keeps improving.We know we can handle tight situations. I have never worked with such a selfless superstar like KD. He joined the team in the summer and understands there are many young players hear who need to develop,” said a Houston player.
