NC State Men’s Tennis Defeats Elon 6-1, Sets Sights on Georgia Tech and Clemson

RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 23 NC State men’s tennis team secured a decisive 6-1 victory over Elon on Saturday at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center, marking a strong return to action after a nearly two-week hiatus. The Wolfpack will now prepare for a challenging pair of conference matches against No. 57 Georgia Tech and No. 28 Clemson.

Doubles Play Sets the Tone

NC State dominated the doubles competition, claiming the doubles point with wins on courts three and one. The duo of Charlie Camus and William Manning defeated Oskar Antinheimo and Charles Pilet 6-0 on court three, while Martin Borisiouk and Jules Leroux secured a 6-3 victory over Veljko Krstic and Nikola Parichkov on court one. The match on court two between Cody Benton & Ainius Sabaliauskas (NCSU) and Jack Curtis & Rafael Ymer (ELON) remained unfinished.

Singles Success Seals the Win

The Wolfpack continued their momentum into singles play, securing victories on five of the six courts. No. 104 William Manning and No. 117 Jules Leroux were the first to earn points for NC State, winning on courts three and four respectively. No. 15 Martin Borisiouk, ranked 15th nationally, delivered a commanding performance against No. 106 Veljko Krstic, winning 7-5, 6-0 on court one. Freshmen Charlie Camus and Darius Pop closed out the match with straight-set wins on courts five and six.

Elon managed to secure a single point, with Rafael Ymer defeating Ainius Sabaliauskas in a hard-fought battle on court two, 7-6 (10-8), 6-3.
