Netflix has expanded the cast of its live-action One Piece series for its upcoming third season, adding Emilio Sakraya, Omid Abtahi, Jamie Ward, and Nabeel Khan to the roster. According to Deadline, the casting announcements were revealed on Sunday during the One Piece Day stage show in Tokyo, Japan, following the completion of production in Cape Town, South Africa.
New Cast Additions for Alabasta Arc
According to Deadline, Emilio Sakraya (Rheingold, Those About to Die) will play Koza, while Omid Abtahi (The Mandalorian, American Gods) has been cast as Toto. Additionally, Jamie Ward (The Gentlemen, His Dark Materials) will portray Pell, and Nabeel Khan (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Strike Back) will play Chaka.
These actors join the returning core Straw Hat crew, featuring Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Other previously announced cast members for Season 3 include Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Mikaela Hoover as Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefartari Cobra. Deadline also reported that Cole Escola (Bon Clay), Xolo Maridueña (Portgas D. Ace), Daisy Head (Miss Doublefinger), and Awdo Awdo (Mr. 1) are joining the ensemble.
Plot and Production Details
Season 3 follows the Straw Hat crew into the treacherous Grand Line as war approaches the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi’s homeland. According to Deadline, a rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, secretly fueled by the ruthless Sir Crocodile—one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea—and his underground syndicate, Baroque Works. The crew must navigate impossible choices and an impending civil war to save Vivi’s kingdom.

Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes serve as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers for the series. Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements executive produce through Tomorrow Studios, alongside Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda, according to Deadline.
