# Netgem Launches PLEIO Streaming Device, Bringing Freeview to the Streaming Age
TV and entertainment platform provider netgem TV has launched a new streaming device, the PLEIO (pronounced Play-oh), designed to deliver an all-in-one entertainment experience without requiring a customary dish or aerial.
The PLEIO is the finalized version of a product initially highlighted by U.K. live streaming service Freely this summer, in response to a report from U.K. broadcast regulator Ofcom. The Ofcom report called for a clearer strategy to enhance public service media delivery in today’s streaming-focused surroundings.While the initial Freely announcement provided limited product details, Netgem is now offering a comprehensive look at this milestone device.

The PLEIO lives up to its “puck” nickname.It’s a circular, black device, flat on its top and bottom, and compact at just 64mm across and 14mm high.Despite its size, it includes both HDMI 2.1 and USB 2.0 ports, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 support.
