Neunkirchen District Offers Support for New Fathers with Online Event Series
The Neunkirchen district is providing a new online event series designed to support fathers and expectant fathers. The series addresses common questions and challenges faced by new parents, offering guidance and a space for discussion.
Addressing the Challenges of Fatherhood
Becoming a father is a significant life event, often accompanied by questions and uncertainties. Many fathers wonder if they can meet the expectations placed upon them by themselves and others. The event series aims to provide a supportive environment to explore these feelings.
Event Details
The first online event, “Becoming a dad… and then?” will be held on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Frank Kiehl, MA in social and educational sciences and director of courses for expectant fathers, will lead the discussion.
A second event, “Happy parents have happy children – and happy children have happy parents,” is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This session will focus on balancing the demands of parenthood with maintaining a healthy couple’s relationship.
Registration and Participation
Both events are open to expectant and experienced fathers. Participation is free, but registration is required. Interested individuals can register by emailing Frauenhelfer@landkreis-neunkirchen.de. Following registration, participants will receive a link to join the events via the district adult education center cloud. Tobias Korb, from the KVHS education office, will provide technical support during the events.
