Nevada Opens NIT Play Against Murray State at Lawlor Events Center
RENO, Nev. – The Nevada Wolf Pack (22-12) will host the Murray State Racers (20-12) in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) on Wednesday, March 18, at Lawlor Events Center. This marks the sixth time in program history that Nevada is participating in the NIT.

Looking Ahead
If Nevada wins, they have the opportunity to host the winner of the No. 3 seed George Mason/Liberty matchup in the second round of the NIT, with games scheduled for either Saturday or Sunday, March 21-22.
Last Time Out
Nevada concluded its season with a 79-66 loss to Utah State in the semifinals of the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship on Friday. Vaughn Weems and Chuck Bailey III led the Pack in scoring with 17 and 10 points, respectively. Weems also tied his career-high with nine rebounds.
Scouting Murray State
Murray State is coming off a 92-79 loss to the UIC Flames in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Thursday evening. Javon Jackson led the Racers with 30 points, although Mason Miller, Roman Domon, and Fred King each contributed in double figures with 12, 11, and 10 points, respectively. Murray State was outshot and outrebounded by UIC, 54-37 in field goal percentage and 42-32 in rebounds.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the Nevada Wolf Pack and the Murray State Racers.
