Le Havre, France, is set to gain a new state-of-the-art women’s health center, MARGO (Maison Havraise de Gynécologie Obstétrique), this summer. The center aims to address the growing demand for accessible gynecology and obstetrics care in the region, where appointment wait times can be significant.
Addressing a Critical Need for Women’s Healthcare
According to a recent report by the Fédération Hospitalière de France, the average wait time for a gynecology appointment in Normandy is two months.1 MARGO is being established to assist alleviate this issue and provide comprehensive care for women of all ages.

Located near the Hôpital Privé de l’Estuaire (HPE), MARGO is a new medical facility designed to accompany women through all stages of life.1 The center will offer a range of services, including:

MARGO will provide a complete range of gynecological and obstetric services, including specialized care for conditions such as menopause, cancer, endometriosis, and pregnancy.1 The center will also facilitate referrals between city-based midwives and gynecologists, improving the continuity of care.
Addressing Preventative Care Needs
Dr. Dugardin highlights the importance of regular gynecological check-ups for preventative care, including screening for conditions like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), which can have long-term cardiovascular health implications.1
A Dedicated Team for Patient Support
In addition to physicians and midwives, MARGO will employ nurses, medical assistants, and a dedicated secretarial team to support patients throughout their healthcare journey.1
