While we will know this Saturday evening who Ambre and Léa will be the big winner of the “Star Academy”, the former candidates revealed by the TF1 show are continuing their careers. And in a month, Charles Doré will finally publish his first album “À l’quilibre”. “ This album tells the story of my transition from my classic life as an 18-year-old to the new life of an artist. He talks about this shift, this new daily life, and this constant search: finding the balance between who I was before and who I am becoming on stage and in music. » indicates the semi-finalist of season 12, who will share 12 songs with the public including the already known singles “Hypersensible” or “À l’quilibre”.
“As we leave each other, we separate”
Four weeks before the release of his project, Charles Doré shares an extract which will be the last to appear before the big day. To move music lovers, the Breton singer is banking on “Goodbye at the start”, the song which closes the project. A sensitive guitar track, between Vianney and Pierre Garnier, where the artist says goodbye to a person, as well as to the listener at the end of this record. “ We know, it won’t be the same when we meet again / The dormant memories / Like a repercussion / We will remember the awakenings / Then we will remember everything / Before the sun rises, on you, on me, on us / Today, it’s our glasses that are raised / And since everything always ends, we will stay there / A little later this time » he intones with a hint of nostalgia in his voice, before pushing the emotion slider on the chorus: “ As we leave each other, we separate / Our hearts are about to leave / We laugh, we cry, we mend / Goodbye, at the start ».
A radio song for which Charles Doré surrounded himself with two established artists: the composer Caméléon, known for his work with Zélie and Anabel, who has been a hit since his time at the “Star Academy”, and the author Igit. Is his name familiar to you? It’s normal! The artist made himself known by participating in season 3 of “The Voice”, from which he emerged as a semi-finalist in Garou’s team. Since then, Igit has made his way in the shadows by writing for many talents including Christophe Willem, Carla and Barbara Pravi, with whom he gave birth to… “Voilà”, the song which gave France a second place at Eurovision 2021. A shock team, therefore! Notice to fans, Charles Doré’s tour will begin on March 20 in Lille and will play throughout the spring, including a date at La Cigale, in Paris, scheduled for April 8.
