Newcastle United Women Sign American Forward Simone Charley

Newcastle United Women have announced the signing of American forward Simone Charley on a deal until the end of the season, pending FA and international clearance. Charley joins the Magpies after recently departing the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side Orlando Pride.

Charley’s professional Experience

During her time with Orlando Pride, Simone made 14 appearances following a move from Angel City FC in January 2024. She began her NWSL career in 2019 with Portland Thorns, where she scored eight goals in 45 games. Charley also gained international experience with a spell at Canberra United in Australia.
