NHL fans on social media reacted to the news that Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry was reportedly traded to the Edmonton oilers.Edmonton was in need of a reliable netminder, given Stuart SkinnerS underwhelming season.

According to the “2 Mutts Hockey Podcast,” Jarry is being traded to the Oilers, with the Penguins retaining 50% of his salary.

Hear’s how fans on X (formerly called Twitter) reacted. One tweeted:

“Please be Pickard and not Skinner if true.”

Another chimed in:

“The way Skinner and Pickard hugged… it looks like they both knew it was pickard’s last game.”

Here are some of the other top reactions on X:

“What if the Oilers don’t trade a goalie back Pittsburgh and have a secondary trade in the works? Clear even more cap space trading Pickard ++? Major overhaul incoming?” a third fan wrote.

“I still think Nashville or Buffalo make the most sense as trade partners. Both GMs are terrible and possibly help the Oilers out of this desperate situation with as little pain to EDM as possible,”
