Nîmes TAF Job and Training Fair to Connect Employers and Job Seekers on March 25, 2026

Nîmes will host the annual Travail-Avenir-Formation (TAF) job and training fair on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Parc des Expositions from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The event, co-organized by the Occitanie Region, France Travail, local Missions locales, and Cap Emploi, aims to connect job seekers and employers and provide information on training opportunities.

Event Highlights and Attendance

In 2025, the Nîmes TAF fair welcomed 7,407 visitors, 87 partners (including training organizations and companies), and 139 companies offering over 965 job opportunities. The event is free and open to all, including young people, job seekers, and employees looking to retrain or change careers.

Addressing Regional Employment Challenges

The TAF fairs are particularly timely given the current employment landscape. At the conclude of 2025, unemployment in France reached 7.9%, the highest level since 2021, with youth unemployment being a significant concern, affecting over one in five young people.

New Features for 2026

The 2026 TAF fair in Nîmes will feature new demonstrations of professions in key sectors, including energy, passenger transport, and rail. The “Disability Compensation” space, launched in 2025, will be expanded to include increased space, company sensitization programs for hiring individuals with disabilities, and dedicated activities like a sensory experience area. France Travail will host a dedicated space for international employment opportunities, business creation, and VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience).

  • Career Guidance: Support and advice from the Regional Public Orientation Service.
  • Training Information: Access to information on continuing professional training and apprenticeships.

Conference Schedule

The fair will as well host several conferences:

  • 9:30 – 10:00 AM: “Recruitment of advisors at France Travail, presentation of the professions and recruitment criteria” with France Travail.
  • 10:15 – 11:00 AM: “Am I made to be an entrepreneur? ”: motivations, constraints and realities before launching. With BGE and France Travail.
  • 11:15 – 11:55 AM: “Getting started in business”: address the basics. Where to start, what aid and devices are available? Who can support you, is there funding? With CMA du GARD, CAE Mine de Talents, ADIE and CCI.

Regional Commitment to Employment

Jalil Benabdillah, Vice-President in charge of economy, employment, innovation and reindustrialization, representing the President of the Occitanie Region, Carole Delga, will be present at the Nîmes TAF fair. The Occitanie Region organizes TAF fairs throughout the region in partnership with France Travail, local Missions locales, and Cap Emploi.
