Nintendo Brings Super Mario Galaxy Movie Experience to Select Cineplex Theatres with Switch 2 Preview
Fans of the Super Mario franchise are in for a double treat this spring. In anticipation of the April 1, 2026, theatrical release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Nintendo of Canada is hosting interactive events at select Cineplex locations, offering attendees a first look at gameplay on the new Nintendo Switch 2 system.
Event Details and Locations
Nintendo will set up booths at participating Cineplex theatres during two separate weekends. The first weekend runs from March 6th to March 8th, 2026, and the second from April 3rd to April 4th, 2026. Visitors will have the opportunity to play both single-player and multiplayer games on the Nintendo Switch 2.

About The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, is an animated adventure based on the 2007 and 2010 Super Mario Galaxy games, as well as the broader Mario franchise. The film serves as a sequel to The Super Mario Bros.
