Nissan X-Trail Receives Updates with Google Built-In and Enhanced Features

The Nissan X-Trail, a popular SUV with over eight million units sold globally, has been updated for the modern model year with a refreshed design and the integration of Google services. The enhancements include exterior styling changes, interior upgrades, and advanced technology features, aiming to enhance the driving experience.

Exterior and Interior Refinements

The latest X-Trail features a modified front fascia and bumpers, giving it a more contemporary look. The rear lights have been updated with a full “ice” design, and new body paint options are now available. Inside, the vehicle boasts new upholstery and lining shades, providing a refreshed cabin aesthetic.

Google Built-In and Infotainment System

A key highlight of the updated X-Trail is the integration of the latest NissanConnect infotainment system with Google services. This includes access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play, offering a seamless and connected driving experience. NissanConnect Services allows users to set up Google Account logins within the vehicle’s infotainment system, unlocking remote features and access to various apps.

Advanced Camera System

The X-Trail now includes an updated 360-degree camera system with a 3D view and eight different camera angles. Inspired by systems found in Land Rover vehicles, it also offers a “transparent hood” feature, providing a virtual view of the space under the front of the car, enhancing visibility and safety during off-road driving or navigating challenging terrain.

e-Power Hybrid System

The X-Trail continues to utilize the e-Power hybrid system. This system employs a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine solely as an electric power generator, with the wheels driven by one or two electric motors. The front-wheel-drive version delivers 150 kW (204 hp), although the four-wheel-drive model offers a system power of 157 kW (213 hp).

Availability

The updated Nissan X-Trail will be available in European markets, including the Czech Republic, with pricing to be announced. The American version, known as the Rogue, will also receive similar modernization updates.

NissanConnect Services App

Complementing the in-vehicle technology, the NissanConnect Services app allows drivers to connect and control their car via smartphone. Compatible models include the LEAF (from May 2019), Navara (from July 2019), Juke (from November 2019), Qashqai (from July 2021), ARIYA (from July 2022), X-Trail (from September 2022), Townstar EV (from September 2022), Townstar (from October 2022), Primastar (from November 2023), and MICRA (from September 2025). The app offers features such as remote door lock/unlock, remote engine start/stop, vehicle locator, and in-car Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity.
