The Nivada Grenchen Autochron collection launches a vintage-inspired revival, bridging the brand’s 1970s chronograph heritage with modern mechanical and hybrid movements. According to official company announcements from Nivada Grenchen, the new lineup reintroduces the distinctive orange dial alongside mechanical automatic and mecaquartz options.

Design and Specifications of the New Autochron Line

The Nivada Grenchen Autochron features a 38 mm vertical brushed 316L stainless steel case, according to official brand specifications. The watch utilizes a double-domed sapphire crystal and offers a water resistance of 20 ATM. For the bezel, Nivada Grenchen includes a new click bezel featuring an aluminum insert with 120 clicks. Buyers can choose from stainless steel bracelets, tropical rubber straps, or racing leather straps.

Movement Options: Mechanical Automatic vs. Hybrid Mecaquartz

Nivada Grenchen offers the Autochron in two distinct movement configurations to accommodate different collector preferences. The mechanical automatic version runs on the reliable ETA Valjoux 7750 movement. Alternatively, the brand provides a hybrid option powered by the TMI VK67 Mecaquartz movement, which blends mechanical chronograph feel with quartz precision.
