North Kansas City Schools to Hold Virtual Learning Day on March 16, 2026
Due to icy road conditions, North Kansas City Schools will transition to a virtual learning day on Tuesday, March 16, 2026. All students will participate in learning from home, completing assignments online.
Adventure Club Operations
Adventure Club will be open at its combined snow day sites, beginning at 7:15 a.m. Students attending Adventure Club are asked to bring their iPad, charger, and headphones to facilitate participation in virtual learning activities.
Evening Activity Cancellations
Cancellations for evening activities will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Parents and students are encouraged to check their school’s website, social media pages, or the district website at nkcschools.org for the latest updates.
Spanish Translation Available
Information regarding the virtual learning day is also available in Spanish. The district has provided a translated notice indicating that there will be no in-person classes on March 16, 2026, due to hazardous road conditions. Students should log in and complete assignments from home, and Adventure Club will operate as described above.
