north Charleston Man Arrested Following Dorchester Road Gas Station Robbery

North Charleston, SC – November 17, 2025 – A swift response by North Charleston Police Department officers led to the arrest of a suspect connected to an armed robbery at a gas station on Dorchester Road. The incident occurred earlier today, and authorities acted quickly to secure the scene and apprehend the individual.

According to police reports,the suspect entered the gas station brandishing a weapon and demanded money from the cashier. No injuries were reported during the robbery. Officers responding to the scene quickly established a perimeter and, with the assistance of witness descriptions, located and arrested the suspect nearby.

The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Marcus Johnson of North Charleston. He is currently facing charges of armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, and potentially othre related offenses. Johnson is being held at the North Charleston Detention center pending a bond hearing.
