Nuova Florida has appointed Andrea Castelluccio as its new head coach, prompting an aggressive roster overhaul for the upcoming soccer season, according to club announcements. The Italian club moved quickly to restructure its defense, midfield, and attack to support Castelluccio’s tactical vision.
Defensive Reinforcements and Goalkeeper Additions
The defensive line welcomes the return of experienced central defender Simone De Martino, born in 1991, who spent the 2023–2024 season playing in Serie D. Alongside De Martino, Mauro Iacobelli rejoins the club in defense. Iacobelli, a 2000-born center-back, arrives following several stints with other teams. Marco Coletta completes the central defensive pairing, moving to Nuova Florida after playing for Atletico Morena, Sporting San Cesareo, and Grottaferrata, according to club disclosures.
Between the posts, Gabriele Zappalà joins the squad. Zappalà logged 20 appearances during Atletico Ardea’s promotion campaign into Eccellenza. In the midfield, Gianluca Lanari returns to the club. Lanari brings professional experience from spells with Ternana and Salernitana.
Attacking Options and Forward Depth
To bolster the frontline, Nuova Florida signed attacking winger Leonardo Di Biagio. Di Biagio recorded 20 appearances and two goals split between Atletico Ardea and Colleferro during the previous campaign. Tommaso Coletta also joins the attacking unit after scoring seven goals last season across stints with Boville and Colonna. Forward Nicholas Rossini, formerly of Lodigiani, rounds out the club’s new signings to complete Castelluccio’s tactical options.
