Şahin raised concerns about the amount of time the ball was in play during the match, lamenting that only 45 minutes of actual football was played. He emphasized the importance of increasing playing time to enhance the brand value of Turkish football, stating that the responsibility for this improvement lies with coaches, players, and referees alike. He expressed hope for seeing 55-60 minutes of active play in future matches.

Şahin acknowledged the challenges ahead, with upcoming matches against Göztepe in the 25th week of the Super League and Trabzonspor in the final match of the Ziraat Turkish Cup group stage. He stressed the team’s determination to qualify for European competitions, recognizing the necessitate to treat every match as a final due to a challenging start to the season and previous setbacks. He noted that losing a match can quickly derail their progress, requiring them to fight to regain momentum.

Şahin praised the partnership between Eldor Shomurodov and Davie Selke, noting their excellent harmony on the field.
