Nvidia GTC 2026: Jensen Huang Unveils Blackwell, DLSS 5, and Vera Rubin AI System
SAN JOSE, CA – March 16, 2026 – Nvidia kicked off its annual GTC developer conference today with a keynote address from CEO Jensen Huang, unveiling a series of advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) spanning graphics, computing infrastructure, and software. The announcements signal Nvidia’s continued dominance in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
DLSS 5: A “GPT Moment” for Graphics
Huang introduced DLSS 5, a new AI graphics rendering technology designed to significantly enhance image realism while reducing computational workload. According to Nvidia, DLSS 5 represents a breakthrough in visual fidelity for games. The system combines traditional 3D graphics data with generative AI models to predict and automatically fill in missing visual details, enabling GPUs to render richer and more lifelike images.
“Twenty-five years after NVIDIA invented the programmable shader, we are reinventing computer graphics once again,” said Huang. “DLSS 5 is the GPT moment for graphics — blending handcrafted rendering with generative AI to deliver a dramatic leap in visual realism while preserving the control artists need for creative expression.”
Vera Rubin: Next-Generation AI Computing
On the hardware front, Nvidia announced plans to launch its next-generation AI computing system, Vera Rubin, later this year. The system comprises approximately 1.3 million components and is projected to deliver up to 10 times the performance per watt of its predecessor, the Grace Blackwell system.
NemoClaw: AI Agent Development
Nvidia similarly unveiled a new software stack called NemoClaw, designed to support the development and deployment of AI agents on the OpenClaw platform. This software aims to streamline the process of creating and implementing intelligent agents for various applications.
