Obituary: Innocent Timot, 36, of Columbus City, Passes Away April 15, 2026

Innocent Timot, a beloved member of the Columbus City, Iowa community, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital at the age of 36. Born on October 3, 1989, in Gonayiv, Haiti, to Maurice and Joiceline (Romelus) Timot, he lived a life marked by faith, family and dedication to his work as a truck driver.

He married Jesline Saincilus on July 15, 2015, in his hometown of Gonayiv. Together, they raised twin sons, Ivennat and Ivennot, who were 18 months traditional at the time of his passing. Innocent was a faithful, devoted, and active member of Marion Avenue Baptist Church, where he served with his whole heart and found spiritual strength and support within the congregation.

Known for his passion for driving trucks, Innocent approached his work with respect, and pride. He will be remembered for his faith, kind spirit, lively personality, and the warm smile that brought light and joy to everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife, Jesline. their twin sons; his sisters Moslin, Jacki, Jacklin, Veline, Shelda, Janine, and John; his brothers Maucelin, Jacky, Michelet, Johnsley, and Jeannine; along with extended family, friends, and numerous loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Joiceline Timot.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, with a prayer service at 5:00 PM. The funeral service will seize place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington, Iowa. Burial will follow in Columbus City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Innocent’s name may be directed to his wife, Jesline, and their children.
