ATHENS, Ohio — The Kent State Golden Flashes secured an 11-5 victory over the Ohio Bobcats on Thursday night, marking their 10th Mid-American Conference (MAC) win of the season. The Golden Flashes now hold an overall record of 21-7, with a 10-3 standing in MAC play. The game featured several key offensive performances, including a milestone achievement by Sawyer Solitaria.

Solitaria Reaches 100 Career Hits

Sawyer Solitaria reached a significant milestone during the game, recording his 100th career hit. His first hit of the night, a double to center field in the fifth inning, scored Brady Marshall. Solitaria later added a solo home run in the ninth inning, extending Kent State’s lead and contributing to a five-run explosion that sealed the win.

Offensive Standouts Power Kent State

Ripken Reese led the Golden Flashes’ offense, going 3-for-5 with a triple, a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Luke Matthews also delivered a strong performance, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs, three runs scored, and two stolen bases. Brady Marshall reached base three times and stole two bases.
