Nineteen-year-old Indráčková, who was the youngest member of the Czech team at the last Olympics in Beijing, landed in Italy in the first round at the finish line of 94 meters and was tied for twenty-fifth place. She performed the second jump two meters longer, hitting the rebound well in difficult windy conditions on the bridge and withstanding the difficult flight phase, so she had a smile on her face after the impact and solid prospects for improving her position.

For a few minutes, the Czech jumper also enjoyed television footage in the position reserved for the provisional leading competitor. “I’m excited. Maybe I’m a little sorry that the first jump wasn’t so successful, but I have a really perfect feeling about the second one. I took care of everything that was needed. Eighteenth place is divine for me and now I’m really looking forward to the race on the big bridge, where I’m better after all,” said Indráčková.

The biggest Czech hope in the women’s jump Anežka Indráčková.

Her performance in the second round was even the fifteenth best. In the end, Indráčková improved the Czech Olympic maximum, which belonged to her older sister Karolína, by ten places. Although she is expecting a baby, Anežka arrived at the venue of this year’s Olympic Games to personally support her.

Another Czech representative, Klára Ulrichová, took 38th place in Predazz with a performance of 91.5 meters and was 3.7 points behind the top 30. Veronika Jenčová recorded 87.5 meters and finished in 47th position.

Already after the first round, Strömová was in the lead thanks to a jump of 100 meters and was ahead of the Slovenian star Nika Prevcová, who also paid a little extra in the second round for a late bounce from the edge of the bridge. She thus remained more than a point behind in the silver position, third place was defended by Nozomi Marujamaová from Japan.
