Originally released in 1997 (with a 500-piece limited edition model, the EZM1.1, released in 2017 to celebrate the 20th anniversary), the EZM1 is a destro chronograph—crown and pushers on the left. Powered by a Lemania 5100, the watch has a central minute chrono counter, which, to my knowledge, isn’t, like, statistically proven to be more legible or anything, but it’s just cool. It’s got the date in red at 3:30, and the 40mm titanium case feels not entirely dissimilar to the classic Autavia C-case from the late 60s (the lugs also look recognizably similar). As if all that weren’t enough, the EZM1 was an issued watch to, among others, a unit of Germany’s ZUZ (if militaria connections move you), and tested to 30 bar.
