OPPO Find N6: The First Foldable with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

OPPO is poised to once again lead the foldable smartphone market with the upcoming Find N6, expected to be the first device to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Find N6 aims to surpass competitors like Samsung with a near-creaseless display and potentially a groundbreaking camera system.

OPPO’s Foldable Evolution

Oppo first adopted Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with the launch of the Find N5 in February 2025. While the Find N5 excelled in battery life, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 subsequently claimed the titles of thinnest and lightest foldable.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Power

The Find N6 is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, positioning it ahead of rivals like Vivo, who are preparing the X Fold6 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. It remains unclear if Qualcomm will produce a 7-core version of the chipset, as was offered in the Find N5.

Display and Design Innovations

Teasers and leaks suggest the Find N6 will boast a nearly creaseless inner display, a significant improvement in foldable screen technology. Renders indicate a seamless screen design, potentially the most refined on the market. Live video footage confirms a minimal crease, barely noticeable in typical viewing conditions.

Camera Capabilities

The Find N6 is rumored to include a Hasselblad quad-camera setup, an upgrade from the triple-camera system on the Find N5. The camera system is expected to include a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a multispectral sensor.

Specifications and Launch Timeline

Expected specifications for the Find N6 include a 6.62-inch AMOLED cover screen and an 8.12-inch 2K LTPO OLED inner screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may also feature a 6,000mAh battery supporting 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, and could weigh around 225g.

The Find N6 is anticipated to launch in March 2026 in China and select global markets, potentially positioning OPPO ahead of Apple and Samsung in the foldable market.

Satellite Connectivity

Similar to its predecessor, the Find N6 may include satellite connectivity, potentially offered in a dedicated variant rather than across all models.
