Born on December 29, 2000, in Haarlem, Netherlands, Orkun Kökçü began his football journey in the Dutch youth system, progressing through Olympia Haarlem, EDO Haarlem, Stormvogels, and FC Groningen before joining Feyenoord in 2014. He made his professional debut for Feyenoord in 2018 and won the Dutch Super Cup in 2019 and the Eredivisie title in 2022-23, where he was named the season’s player.
