Our Hospice Concert Returns to Roots for 40th Anniversary

Columbus, Indiana – The 40th Annual Our Hospice Concert will take place on Saturday, September 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. At the Bartholomew County Public Library steps in downtown Columbus, marking a return to the event’s original location.

A Community Tradition

While Our Hospice has served the community since 1980, the concert tradition began 40 years ago as a way to bring neighbors together and raise awareness about hospice care. The event aims to support the organization’s mission to “Develop Every Moment Count.” This year’s milestone event honors the past while looking towards the future.

Musical Lineup and Entertainment

This year’s concert will feature performances by local favorites 40 Years of College and 3 Beards Strummin. Local food and beverage vendors will be on site, offering refreshments throughout the event.

Supporting Our Hospice

The concert serves as both a fundraiser and an educational opportunity, highlighting the full range of services provided by Our Hospice, including palliative care, personal care and grief support. Dunlap General & Mechanical Contractors is the 2026 Title Sponsor, ensuring the event remains accessible to the community.

Student Poster Design Contest

As part of the 40th-anniversary celebration, a poster design contest is open to all high school students in Bartholomew County. Design kits and submission details are available at ourhospice.org/concert. The submission deadline is Wednesday, March 25. The winner will receive a band-signed concert poster, a swag package, reserved seating, and a $500 scholarship towards college or trade school expenses.

Raffle and Sponsorship Opportunities

Raffle tickets are available for $10 each, offering a chance to win $10,000. The drawing will take place during the concert, and participation does not require attendance.
