Sindh Schools Closed March 11 for Youm-e-Ali; Islamabad Announces Spring Break

Karachi, Pakistan – Schools and educational institutions across Sindh province will be closed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, to observe Youm-e-Ali, a day of commemoration marking the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (R.A.). Schools in Islamabad will observe a spring break from March 24 to March 27, coinciding with the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday.

Sindh Province Holiday

The Sindh Education Department issued a notification confirming the closure of all public and private educational institutions throughout the province on March 11, in observance of Youm-e-Ali [Samaa TV]. Islamabad Spring and Eid Break

In Islamabad, educational institutions operating under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) will be closed for a 10-day period.
