According to reports from Hindustan Times and NDTV, Pakistan utilized spies and local sleeper cells in an aggressive bid to pinpoint the deployment coordinates of India’s S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile systems. The Air Marshal described the maneuvers as desperate, noting that Pakistan’s military apparatus heavily relied on human intelligence networks to track the advanced Russian-origin air defense platforms.
Pahalgam Massacre Triggered Cross-Border Response
Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian military following a deadly terrorist attack on April 22, 2025, in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, predominantly tourists. Intelligence assessments indicated that the perpetrators belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba, utilizing high-grade assault weapons including M4 carbines and AK-47s in an intentional effort to destabilize the Jammu and Kashmir region.

Indus Waters Treaty Suspended Ahead of Airstrikes
