Palmeiras will take action against Fortaleza at the CBF’s CNRD (National Dispute Resolution Chamber) after defaulting on negotiations involving two players.
What happened
Fortaleza owes a portion of 225 thousand euros (R$ 1.3 million) to Palmeiras arising from the sale of defender Gustavo Mancha to Olympiacos, from Greece. The defender left Alviverde to play for Leão do Pici in 2024, but continued with 30% of his economic rights linked to the São Paulo club.
Fortaleza sold Gustavo Mancha to Olympiacos for 4.5 million euros (R$27.6 million) in August last year. Of this amount, Palmeiras is entitled to R$8.3 million, which is paid in installments by the Ceará club.
