Patty Brard Returns to Television with Patty’s Posse 2.0 in 2027

Patty Brard will return to television with a brand-new reality series titled Patty’s Posse 2.0, scheduled to air in 2027 on RTL 5 and Videoland.

The new production, handled by SimpelZodiak, will document Brard’s current lifestyle divided between Almere and Ibiza alongside her husband Antoine, where she remains fully active by performing, appearing on television programs, exploring health and lifestyle trends, undertaking business ventures, and keeping in touch with fans daily through social media. If you had told me 24 years ago where I would be standing now, I probably would have laughed at you and poured myself a glass (or two), Brard stated. My life has changed completely: from Patty’s Posse 1.0, where nothing but craziness and misery could be seen, to a perfectly healthy 71-year-old woman who finally knows exactly what she wants and, especially, what she no longer wants. Describing the milestone of marking five decades in the profession, Brard added: And just so happens that in 2027 I will have been in this profession for fifty years… well, then you are perfectly entitled to throw a hysterically huge party. But in my own way, open and honest, and above all, REAL! She concluded her thoughts with the message: You are never too old to completely turn your life around. Just look at me; you will be amazed at what life still brings me every day in 2027!

Critics Question the Entertainment Value of a Sober Lifestyle

The announcement of a tamer reality format has drawn skepticism from television commentators regarding whether a peaceful lifestyle translates into compelling viewing. Prominent figures have questioned the appeal of following a subject who has left behind the chaos of her earlier years. Johan Vlemmix argued in the prominent panel discussion that the original series gained its engaging nature from unpredictable situations, stating that watching calm individuals lacks excitement. Artist Ans Markus expressed similar reservations about another reality series joining the crowded streaming market, though she acknowledged Brard's enduring work ethic, noting that nobody can ignore her because she always goes for it no matter what she undertakes, even though she herself prefers watching art programs.

This discussion mirrors recent criticisms surrounding André Hazes jr.’s reality show. Tina Nijkamp described the first episode of the Hazes series as empty, noting that the program focused on minor observations rather than significant narrative tension because the subject’s turbulent period of personal struggles was entirely in the past. With the Hazes project drawing 196,000 viewers, industry watchers are monitoring whether Brard’s milestone anniversary and distinctive personality will sustain viewer interest throughout the new run of Patty’s Posse 2.0.
