Peaty’s and Rideable Now: Empowering Disabled Riders to Return to the Trails
The mountain biking community is seeing a powerful shift toward inclusivity through the partnership between Peaty’s Products and Rideable Now. Founded by Mountain Bike Hall of Famer Martyn Ashton, Rideable Now is a social enterprise dedicated to a singular, impactful goal: getting riders with injuries and disabilities back on the trails.
By combining the industry expertise of Steve Peat with the vision of Martyn Ashton, this collaboration ensures that life-changing injuries don’t mean the conclude of a rider’s journey. From funding adaptive equipment to providing professional guidance, the initiative is removing the barriers that often maintain disabled riders from the sport they love.
What is Rideable Now?
Founded in 2025, Rideable Now serves as both a media hub and a social enterprise. The project focuses on providing real access and real trail time for disabled riders by raising funds to purchase adaptive mountain bikes for those who would otherwise lack the means to ride.
The organization is led by Martyn Ashton, a legendary figure in the sport known as a multiple World Trials Bike Champion, Guinness World Record holder and MBUK Hall of Fame inductee. His experience and visibility facilitate drive the mission of returning riders to the outdoors regardless of their physical limitations.
The Access Fund
Central to the mission is the Access Fund. This initiative provides critical grants for equipment and servicing, ensuring that adaptive bikes are not only accessible but properly maintained. This support allows riders who have experienced life-changing injuries to return to the trails with safe, reliable gear.

A Partnership Built on Vision
The relationship between Peaty’s and Rideable Now is more than a standard sponsorship; it’s a deep-rooted partnership. Steve Peat, the downhill legend and founder of Peaty’s Products, was one of the first people Martyn Ashton approached to help shape the project. Peat provided advice and helped flesh out the initial plans to turn the idea into a reality.
Peaty’s has committed to supporting Rideable Now for the next three years. This commitment includes serving as an official fundraising partner and implementing direct financial support, such as donating 20% of profits during specific promotional weekends to the cause.
