Pedestrian Struck by Train in Billings Under Investigation
Billings, MT – Authorities are investigating an incident that occurred on Saturday involving a pedestrian being struck by a train near Laurel Road and Parkway Lane in Billings, Montana. The incident was reported shortly before 3:00 p.m.
Details of the Incident
The Billings Police Department responded to the scene, along with the Billings Fire Department, Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office, and representatives from the train company. Westbound traffic on Laurel Road was temporarily reduced to a single lane during the investigation but has since been reopened.

As of Sunday, March 1, 2026, the condition of the pedestrian remains unknown. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office has located a vehicle believed to be involved – a silver 2017-2022 Chevrolet TRAX – after the owner contacted detectives following a social media post.
