“Traffic conditions in the Tanjung Priok Port area are monitored to be safe and controlled. Loading and unloading activities, container movement and terminal services are running without interruption,” said Yandri in his statement, Friday (9/1/2026).

As is known, there was a traffic jam on the evening of January 8 outside the port operational area, especially on public roads leading to warehouse and depot areas in Cilincing, Marunda and Cakung Cilincing, in line with the increase in the movement of trailer trucks at certain hours.
Regarding the readiness of the stacking field,Pelindo confirmed yard occupancy ratio (YOR) is still within safe limits. Based on data as of January 9 2026 at 08.00 WIB, the majority of terminals recorded YOR below the standard of 65 percent.
“As part of efforts to support smooth traffic and reduce potential congestion on public roads, Pelindo together with related agencies are preparing traffic arrangements and operational support schemes, including facilitating access for goods transport vehicles via toll lanes in a situational and limited manner, in accordance with needs in the field and coordination results,” he added.
Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok also took mitigation steps in the field in synergy with the Transportation Department to carry out quick handling by providing tow trucks for vehicles experiencing technical problems around the Port Area, to prevent traffic buildup on public roads.
Pelindo continues to coordinate with the North Jakarta Police and Tanjung Priok Harbor Resort, KSOP, Transportation Department, and officers to support smooth traffic flow and minimize the impact of congestion in the area around the port.
