Perhutani Hosts Ramadan Health Initiative for Jakarta Community

JAKARTA, Indonesia – March 6, 2026 – Perum Perhutani, Indonesia’s state-owned forestry company, recently held a “Semarak Ramadan 1447 H” (Vibrant Ramadan) event at Grha Perhutani in South Jakarta. The initiative focused on providing free health checks and essential food parcels to hundreds of residents from Jati Padang Village, prioritizing the elderly and children.

Community Health Focus

The event, held on March 5, 2026, is part of Perhutani’s commitment to Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) as a state-owned enterprise. Perhutani aims to deliver tangible benefits to the community, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

In collaboration with the Jati Padang Community Health Center, local Posyandu (integrated health posts), and Dasawisma (groups of ten families), the event offered a range of health services. These included eye exams, blood pressure screenings, cholesterol level checks, activities for toddlers, health education sessions, dental checkups for pre-school children, and Pap smear services. Approximately 400 residents participated, with a particularly strong turnout from senior citizens seeking comprehensive health assessments.

Company and Community Statements

Andus Winarno, Director of Human Resources, General Affairs and IT at Perum Perhutani, emphasized the company’s dedication to community well-being. “This activity demonstrates Perhutani’s concern for the health of the surrounding community,” Winarno stated. “It highlights our role as a state-owned enterprise that is not only focused on business performance but also on providing real benefits to the people.”
